What about Caretakers who, despite their best intentions, are also Whumpers?

Maybe Whumpee has a condition/is non-human and afraid of hurting people. Maybe it’s something they can’t control. Carewhumper loves them anyway, wants to help them, wants to keep them safe, so they take to restraining Whumpee every night. When it gets bad, they slip a sedative into their water and install locks on every door. This becomes their new normal.

Somehow, when Whumpee meets a new Caretaker, they expect the same routine. They remind Caretaker to tie them down before bed, and then confused by the devastation on Caretaker’s face, until it clicks.

They were never dangerous. Not really.

Also spent like an hour today talking with my partner about post-canon court dynamics and what Rayla would do if she stayed at court beyond just being on the council and

I honestly think she'd be great at being a spider.

Rayla doesn't have the mind for strategy that Callum does, and I think he's grown to be more skeptical like her in arc 2 so that's not exclusive to her either, but the main areas we see Rayla be underhanded about is 1) her lying and 2) her ability to be stealthy, combining both beautifully in 2x03 with the illusion plan. (It still doesn't entirely go according to plan and Corvus has to bail them out, but I digress.)

Like imagine visiting diplomats trying to strong arm Ezran into some kind of trade deal scuffle by citing 'bad weather' as an excuse, and both Callum and Rayla want to make sure it's True, so Rayla spies on them from the rafters / other locations in the castle, collecting gossip and schemes as she goes. Then she reports back to Callum, firstly, who sometimes steps in to threaten them handle it himself directly, and/or to Ezran when it's a more neutral matter, and it Freaks People out because how did they know?? It pays to have a Moonshadow elf on your side is all

Imogen may be a war criminal, but she was a child soldier first

“Have you seen battle?” The general questioned.

“Yes,” Imogen replied.

A senator with pristinely combed salt-and-pepper hair beside him scoffed as he folded his arms across his ornate robes. “Terrorizing farming communities on Outer Rim moons hardly counts as battle.”

She stared him down with a calm, knowing smirk for a prolonged beat. “I served during the Clone Wars, Senator.”

“You must’ve been only a child during that time,” he remarked, not believing the experience of a known traitor to his lost Republic.

“Indeed,” Imogen casually confirmed. “I was thirteen when I saw my first battle from the front lines. Fourteen when I began commanding troops. And sixteen when I witnessed my peers and teachers be slaughtered all around me.”

She stepped closer to him, holding his gaze as she gracefully entered his space with a measured step like the predator he must have forgotten she was. His hands became fists and dropped to his sides instinctively, but Imogen did not intend to attack him. At least, she did not see any reason to at the present moment that would be worth the inconvenience of upsetting the entire room. His unease amused her, though.

“Do not question my experience with war,” she said in a tone low enough for only him to hear. “I have known war intimately.”
